A Day at Little Saints:

Morning Drop-off Children arrive between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. Teachers greet families at the door, help with backpacks and belongings, and guide each child to the morning activity area. Quiet play, puzzles, and table activities are available while all children arrive.

Circle Time At mid-morning, the class gathers for Circle Time to sing songs, share news, and introduce the day’s theme. This time includes a short Bible story tailored to young children, a simple prayer, and a brief calendar and weather discussion.

Snack and Outdoor Play A nutritious snack is served mid-morning. Weather permitting, children spend time on the outdoor play area where gross motor skills are encouraged through climbing, running, and group games. Indoor gross-motor activities are provided on inclement days.

Learning Centers Children rotate through learning centers focused on literacy, math readiness, science exploration, art, and dramatic play. Teachers facilitate small-group activities to encourage social skills, problem solving, and creativity. Materials are chosen to be developmentally appropriate and inviting.

Lunch and Rest Families provide lunch; teachers sit with children to model table manners and encourage conversation. After lunch, younger children take naps while older children have quiet rest time with books or soft activities.

Afternoon Activities The afternoon includes structured lessons, music and movement, and one-on-one or small-group teacher interactions. Children work on fine-motor skills, practice name-writing, and participate in guided sensory activities.

Snack and Pick-up An afternoon snack is provided. Teachers review the day with children and prepare them for pick-up. Parents sign out and receive brief updates from teachers about their child’s day.

Daily Routines and Safety Daily handwashing, diapering or toileting routines, and medication procedures are followed consistently. Staff conduct health checks at arrival and maintain clear communication about illnesses. Safety protocols and secure sign-in
